Does anyone have an answer to the education of drug synthesis of the thyroid is better and why?
I Armour Thyroid was on (natural) medicine for nearly 10 years … Dr.S tried to bend the arm back to make me go to drugs synthetic thyroid for years, but I refused. I am chemical sensitive, so try to stay as natural as possible. I use synthroid briefly at first, but it is not just right on it. Anyway … Armour Thyroid provider will not do it any longer … will force people in the synthesis I think probably the greatest benefit to them … normally appears money is the driving force behind things. In any case … I am a hostage of this because I can not go without medication for my thyroid … so that if all those who can give me an educated response to this drug synthesis is the lesser of two evils … I would be very grateful. Thank you
There are two main brands: Synthroid and Levoxyl. They are essentially the same, replace hormones that your thyroid gland is not capable of producing. Synthroid does not have a generic equivalent, so that may cost more your pocket. Levoxyl is the generic equivalent, called levothyroxine. medicine that works best for you depends on your state of hypothyroidism and what your doctor thinks best for you. Levoxyl or Levothyroxine should be taken on an empty stomach (at least 1 hour), and can not be more than 4 hours after antacids, mineral supplements or calcium supplements. This helps the medicine is absorbed into your system properly. Synthroid does not be taken on an empty stomach, and in fact my mother's endocrinologist (who specializes in treating diseases of the thyroid) insists that takes Synthroid, and writing that is clinically proven to absorb the blood in the blood faster and better, Levoxyl. My mother said to feel better and have more energy after the transition to synthroid. You have to work regular laboratory to check your thyroid and TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) levels. If you not want the drug works or if you are anxious, warm all the time, have a rapid heart rate / blood pressure, excessive sweating, then it is time for the doctor to have blood tests to ensure that you receive the correct dose. It is very important to follow all laboratory work and controls. I taking Levoxyl (levothyroxine) more than 10 years with no problems, other than a dose adjustment here and there is nothing unusual. The only thing I hate it Levoxyl have to wait an hour for lunch. I am one of those who wake up hungry and ready for breakfast in the morning! What I like Levoxyl, is relatively inexpensive, with or without insurance. Get thyroid levels checked, and talk to your doctor. It recommends thyroid medication is best for you. Good luck!

Money-Driven Medicine: The Real Reason Health Care Costs So Much
$6.88 Why is medical care in the United States so expensive? For decades, Americans have taken it as a matter of faith that we spend more because we have the best health care system in the world. But as costs levitate, that argument becomes more difficult to make. Today, we spend twice as much as Japan on health care—yet few would argue that our health care system is twice as good. Instead, startli... |
